Technology: Parents and Students

In an evolving world where technology is used daily, it is imperative that we prepare our students for 21st century learning. Being 1:1 is an initiative to prepare students for the new norm, In Person Learning, Remote Learning, and Hybrid Learning. The expectations for the use of technology in each scenario is vastly different. It does not change the expectation to deliver engaging instruction to our students, but utilizes electronic resources to provide access to engaging enrichment activities and resources outside of the traditional classroom. Students will utilize their school-owned device to access a learning management system and conferencing tool to achieve the educational goals outlined by I3 Academy. E-Learning is a re-defined approach to learning and is not simple. It is our goal to provide clear expectations for teachers, parents, and students.


To better support our Continuous Learning Plan a Help Desk has been established to provide technical support related to school-owned devices. The Help Desk is a partnership between the I3 Academy‚Äôs Technology Specialist and the Network Administrator. Please note that your/your child's teacher should be notified if you are experiencing any problems related to classwork. If you are experiencing technical issues related to internet connectivity or your assigned device, please complete the Help Desk Form. The Help Desk will be notified and will work to provide assistance and resolve any issues that you may have within a reasonable time frame.

Devices

Your child will be assigned an iPad, headphones, charger, and keyboard.
  • The iPad will go back and forth between home and school every day.
  • Each night, the iPad should be wiped down with a disinfecting wipe and plugged in to charge when battery is at 50% or less. This is very important! Please see the Device Cleaning Procedures document for more information.
  • If you need assistance or have an issue with the device, please complete the Help Desk Form and the technology department will be notified immediately.
