Tips to Help Stay Healthy

Stay Healthy This Fall!

  • Get a Flu Shot for you and your child!  It is the number one thing you can do to prevent the flu. Check with your child’s healthcare provider for more information.
  • Wash your hands!!!! A lot!!!! Wash your hands frequently with soap and water and scrub for 20 seconds. A good way to time yourself is to sing “Happy Birthday” twice while scrubbing the front, back, between your fingers and under your nails. Dry your hands when you are finished washing them.
  • Practice all social distancing guidelines at work/school and when in public. Avoid getting close to sick people! Cough and sneeze in your sleeve! If you don’t have a tissue, cough and sneeze  into your elbow. Then, wash/ sanitize your hands!!!
  • Keep your environment clean. Clean door knobs, light switches, keyboards, etc. Bathroom cleanliness is very important!
  • Don’t share cups, water bottles and utensils, even with your own family.
  • Drink plenty of water. Keep yourself hydrated! Eat a healthy diet! Get plenty of sleep! Try to sleep 8 hours a night.
  • If you take care of your body NOW, it will take care of you LATER! It’s never too early or too late to start healthy habits!
