Parents' Right to Know

Overview

The Parents’ Right to Know Act (Act 2024-35) requires all school districts to ensure that information on current adopted curricula for each class is available on the website of the school and that access to online curricula is available to students, parents, or guardians of enrolled students. Please see this page for direct links to textbooks provided by each vendor for each course and subject.  Full access to online textbooks and programs are accessible via your student’s i3 Academy device by using your student’s login credentials to access the CLEVER page. I3 Academy strives to carefully align all academic and curricular decisions with the Alabama State Department of Education’s Courses of Study, the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP), and the American College Test (ACT). The Alabama Courses of Study are available via the Alabama State Department of Education website.

Additional Resources used Across the Network (Accessible via Clever)

In addition to the textbooks listed below for each subject and grade band, i3 Academy also utilizes the following online tools to individualize learning.

  • I-Ready
  • IXL
  • Reading  (gr. K-5)

Physical Inspection and Complaint Process

If you are a parent or guardian of an i3 Academy student and you wish to physically inspect an instructional tool used in your child’s classroom, you may make a request to your school's principal.

If you wish to file a complaint against your child’s teacher under the Parents’ Right to Know Act, you may complete the district’s complaint form (see link below). Submissions from this complaint form are received by the i3 Academy Office of the Superintendent.
