I3 Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school located in the heart of the Woodlawn community of Birmingham, Alabama. Serving kindergarten through fifth grade students, once it’s doors open, I3 Academy will be the largest charter school in the state with 420 students enrolled.The three Is--imagine, investigate, innovate--are the foundation of our philosophy and guide us toward our mission: to empower learners to become agents of change who solve the problems they see in their world. The curriculum will be STEAM inspired, providing students with ample classroom opportunities for collaboration and invention.
